Dasher Ratings Explained

Minimum Rating Requirements:

  • Customer Rating: At least 4.2 out of 5.
  • Completion Rate: Must be 90%* or higher. For some, it may be 80%.
  • Acceptance Rate: No minimum required.
  • On-time/Early Rate: Consistent lateness can lead to deactivation.

Overview:

Ratings are crucial for Dashers to monitor the quality of their delivery services. They’re calculated on a rolling basis, meaning recent deliveries replace older ones in the calculation. This system allows for improvement over time. Ratings are visible in the Dasher App under the “Ratings” tab.

Customer Rating:

Calculated from the last 100 ratings, focusing on the delivery experience. DoorDash automatically removes certain low ratings under specific circumstances, like long wait times or app outages.

Completion Rate:

Reflects the percentage of deliveries completed from the last 100 accepted. High-quality deliveries are the key to maintaining a good completion rate.

Acceptance Rate:

Based on the percent of delivery opportunities accepted out of the last 100 offered. No minimum, you cannot be deactivated for a low acceptance rate.

On-time/Early Rate:

Important for maintaining timely deliveries. While no specific minimum is set, repeated lateness may risk deactivation.

FAQs Highlight:

  • Improving Ratings: Ensure order completeness, maintain good communication, and follow instructions.
  • Ratings Change: Customer ratings can change later, as not all rate immediately.
  • Completion Impact: Cancellations by customers or merchants count as completed; emergencies are considered.
